Healthcare Administrative Partners to Present on ICD-10 Readiness at Upcoming HFMA Philadelphia Event

Media, PA, February 9, 2015 –The Metropolitan Philadelphia Chapter of the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) will hold an educational event entitled, “Emerging Management Challenges in the Physician and Hospital Arena” on Thursday, February 19th, at the DoubleTree Hotel on South Broad Street. This regional HFMA chapter offers educational and social programs to advance the professional development and career advancement of over 1,000 members from many different industries within the healthcare community. Among the educational sessions offered at this event, Healthcare Administrative Partners’ Gloria Johnston, Vice President of Health Information Services, and JoJo Sandhu, HIS Project Manager, will deliver a presentation entitled, “Reinvigorating Your ICD-10 Preparations”.

With the October deadline for the transition to ICD-10 just months away, now is the time for healthcare executives to assess, implement, and refine their action plans. This session will include practical advice designed to help leaders from a variety of healthcare specialties analyze the current data available to them, perform a gap analysis to identify areas in need of improvement, and understand the impact that lack of ICD-10 readiness can have on their practice revenue. Special emphasis will be paid to team training needs, including the descriptive details that physicians need to document in order to ensure ICD-10 coding compliance.
