Position Summary:
The primary responsibility of the Sales Director is to sell the company’s medical billing, coding and consulting services lines to physician group practices and other targeted healthcare providers within their assigned geographic territory. The Sales Director is responsible to meet and or exceed the assigned quota for their territory and reports directly to the Vice President of Business Development.
- Develop sales pipeline through cold calling and follow up on direct marketing programs to identify and qualify leads in defined territory.
- Present company billing, coding and consulting solutions focusing on client’s key business issues and manage sales process from beginning to end strategically positioning service offerings.
- Manage active prospects through entire sales process from lead identification and qualification to contract execution..
- Maintain accurate up to date sales pipeline and forecasts.
- Maintain timely and complete documentation and records of sales activities in CRM (ACT).
- Represent company by participating in lead generation activities at conferences and industry tradeshows..
- Provide feedback on market and competition through knowledge acquired in sales process.
- Achieve and/or exceed sales quota.
Responsibilities:
The Director of Business Development will independently manage assigned territory to develop and close new business opportunities, including:
- Qualifications:
- Demonstrated and proven success in direct sales to senior level executives and physicians.
- Experience in the economics of medical practices and ROI delivery ideally with experience in revenue cycle management.
- Bachelor’s degree and at least 7+ years experience in the physician services / healthcare segment. Selling to radiology, pathology, radiation oncology, emergency medicine or anesthesia independent physician practice markets a plus.
- Experience with CRM software .
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Highly organized with strong sales administration skills including timely and accurate reporting.
- Expertise in territory management and organization.
- Demonstrated earnings history with proven ability to achieve sales goals.
